When Are You Going to Get Married???

Ok... this is FAQ i am currently receiving from all the mums in my family tree. Other related questions are such:
1. Do u have a boyfriend?
2. Why don't u have a boyfriend?

and subsequently leads to FAQ number 3

3. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET MARRIED???

I am four and twenty when i write this. and yes, most mothers were married with kids by my age and my answer to question number 1 is YES, tons of them so it's hard to pick one. No really... i have None...
And this leads to the answer to FAQ number 2:

1. I am no feminist but I am perhaps the one of the most scariest, unapproachable woman on earth (to guys that is) and going to be even more scarier after i wrote this - i suck at commitments, i talk to a guy like a guy, very independent, very firm about her stands, hates it when guys only talk to me because they want a relationship with me especially when they hardly know me and i'm the type who lets be friends first and see where it goes and trust me... it would take a lot of effort to sweep me off my feet.

2. I just don't have the time for relationships right now. I'm so busy juggling my assignments and i hardly keep in touch with my girlfriends... let alone attempting to find a boyfriend.

3. Despite all the above, i am still very reserved. I wait for the guy to make the first move and right now, there isnt any. perhaps due to the reasons above. and also, I haven't found the right guy yet... i want my next boyfriend to be my future husband. And till then... i rather stay single... uncommitted...

And the answer to FAQ number 3:

I am going to get married when i found my husband. FULL STOP!

Mothers, don't u get it that it does not only stressful to u that your daughters might turn into a spinster but we are even more stressed when u ask us those questions. For a muslim, when mothers ask us to do something and we do... but this is simply out of our hands really... it's no simple task like go out and buy fish... especially for girls like me...

Let me do the worrying ok? And let God set the path of my life. If i am going to get married... then i am. If my fate is to live a lonely life, who are we, as slaves of God, to question His methods? God has mysterious ways... we should just embrace what He gives us.

So to all mothers with single daughters out there... stop bombarding us with those FAQs.

Aishah-Shazuin Friendship (as based on Astrological Signs)

Aishah was born a Sagittarius. I'd agree that a Sagittarius is classed as positive and an extrovert sign considering who Aishah is. According to astrology, Sagis are mostly arrogant, know-it-all, clumsy, overly curious, a rebel and a drama queen... and i can go on all day. However, despite all that... she's one of my longest best buddies... sorry, Nana came first (14 bloody years!) and then comes you and Faiza (11 bloody years!). I'm a taurean and Taurus and Sagittarius don't get along - an astrology bullshit actually.

Well, i guess u can say... or i'll admit that i didn't like u the first time. i enjoyed sitting alone actually. i was thirteen and i have my hormones racing and i hated your guts (and still do!) and also, i'm a Taurean... but funny... we did... eventually. Although 'charming' your way into my life wasn't at all how it happened. it was due to my sensitivity and my kind heart and also out of sympathy. LOL... no, it was actually because of our dorky taste in music. Aishah, we ought to thank BSB, NSync, Take5 and the Moffatts. Yeah, we go out to their gigs and all... so thats why we became closer and closer.

Although years passed and also we fell in and out of our friendship... also, we grew apart due to taking our own course. Well, it doesnt mean literally grew apart. our taste in music certainly got better although no longer the same. taste in men... taste in clothing... and Sagis are compatible to Geminis and Leos because they are Fire and Air sign... unlike me, Taurean... an earth element. Again... this is an astrology bullshit.

We got along well despite our astrological signs. So... don't believe in astrology! Believe in fate and destiny. I decide how my life is going to be. Where it may be a right or wrong choice, these are the friends that are with me all the way...

Jumper

No i'm not talking about sweaters ok???

I saw Jumper today...
as dorky as i may sound, i find Hayden Christensen most good-looking in this movie. I'm so sorry i wasn't really fond of him or his acting in Star Wars. but after i saw Jumper, he's perhaps one of the finest actor on the planet.
there's a little spoof in the movie or perhaps i missed the part when Griffin introduced his name to David. Because they were teleporting about and suddenly, David calls him Griffin... ??
anyway, its a good movie. although has a little bad influence. after watching it, it makes u just want to teleport everywhere and dont want to walk...
a must see... i love the special FX particularly...

Dear CaCa Cabana n her JuaN...

I’ve known the bride for approximately 10 years now. As years passed, our friendship grew and grew, with several petty fights and boyfriends along the way; it blossomed into something I’d like to call sisterhood.

The first time I saw them together, I suddenly notice how love can change women’s taste in men. Faiza used to drool over men like Josh Hartnett or Kimi Raikonnen. (Sorry, Faiza… I really have to reveal this)… and Awan is definitely someone they’re definitely not – someone who loves her for who she is. Faiza is an independent, bright young woman, whom I can see surviving on her own… she can live without Awan, most definitely… but however, she chose not too because she wants to be able to come home to someone. And in this case, she has chosen Awan.

Finding out that she was to be married soon, I wasn’t actually thrilled. I was pretty sure after this; a lot of people are going to be asking me when I am going to get married. It’s pretty stressful to me, Faiza… thanks to you! No, let me assure you that it wasn’t jealousy that she gets to get married first. It was because those days when we used to slumber-partied, jump on beds, having girl talks over a nice ice-blended coffee, hosting embarrassing birthdays at TGIF was coming to an end. It suddenly occurred to me, as the day of the wedding drew closer, I was going to lose my Caca Cabana… my Cendol.

Sorry, Awan… I’ll never be ready to release Faiza to you but knowing the kind of person you are, despite all other boys she’s been with, you’re the best candidate to complete my best friend’s life. Congratulations to both of you and may Allah bless your marriage with longevity and lots of children! All my love goes to both of you… Muahhhh!
